Box Score PRESCOTT, ARIZ. – The Embry-Riddle women's basketball team continued to rack up wins against in-state teams on Tuesday, as the Eagles defeated OUAZ in the home opener at the ERAU Activity Center. ERAU took away a 90-57 victory, and held the Spirit to 31.3% shooting.
Zakiirah King picked up a double-double, scoring 14 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. She was all over the place defensively as well, blocking four shots and recording three steals while grabbing seven defensive boards.
Ella Schott was the game's most efficient shooter, making seven of her 11 attempts and finishing with a contest-high 18 points. Schott also had four rebounds, two assists and also recorded a steal.
Overall, four different Eagles finished with double-digit point totals. Aryana Gonzales and Susie Reynoso each had 13 points, and were a combined 7-10 from the field and 8-9 from the free throw line.
ERAU crashed the boards hard again for a second straight contest, grabbing a +15 rebound advantage. Four different players had at least five rebounds on the night, and had 16 boards on the offensive end.
The Eagles also shared the ball well on Tuesday, finishing with 22 assists as a squad. Hannah Urbano dished out eight assists, and six different players had at least two assists in the game.
The Eagles will get back on its home floor on Saturday when they host San Diego Christian. Tipoff from the ERAU Activity Center is scheduled for 2 p.m.
