PRESCOTT, ARIZ. – The final game before winter break proved to be a tough night of the Embry-Riddle men's basketball team, as a slow start doomed the Eagles in a loss to Taylor on Wednesday night. ERAU had a tough night shooting, posting a 34.5% mark from the field and making just five threes.

It did not help that Taylor came out firing, as they made 61.3% of its shots in the first 20 minutes. The Eagles fought hard in the second half, nearly doubling its first half total of points as they battled to get back in the game.

It was a good scoring night for Christmas Togiai, Jr., as he led the contest with 16 points. Togiai Jr. knocked down six shots, and was able to dish out a pair of assists, grab two rebounds, plus notch a pair of steals.

Dennis Pomazanov was able to knock down five of his seven shots, scoring 13 points on the night. Pomazanov was solid on the glass as well, grabbing five rebounds, and was able to get a pair of steals as well.

Embry-Riddle will have one more game before the turn of the calendar year, a showdown with top-ranked Arizona Christian on New Year's Eve afternoon. Tipoff against the NAIA's top-ranked team at the ERAU Activity Center is scheduled for 2 p.m.
