Box Score REDDING, CALIF. – The Embry-Riddle men's basketball team put together its most complete game so far this season, as they defeated Simpson 83-62 on Sunday afternoon. The Eagles took a 14-point lead into the half, and did not let up as they picked up its second Cal Pac win in three tries.
ERAU shot a scorching 57.1% from the field as they scored a game high through the first eight contests this season. The Eagles only shot better as the game went on, and posted a 63% mark from the floor in the second half.
David Teibo had a double-double on Sunday, putting up 17 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Teibo made six of his eight shots from the field, and was able to knock down five free throws.
Chase Verdugo had an efficient night off the bench, shooting 60% and racking up 15 points in 32 minutes. Chase Verdugo nearly outscored the entire Red Hawks bench by himself, as the two teams got 18 points each from their reserves.
All five starters were able to finish in double-digit scoring, with Teibo's 17 leading the way. Christmas Togiai, Jr. had 15 points as the next-highest scoring Eagle, making six of nine shots.
Dennis Pomazanov finished with 12 points while also grabbing six rebounds and collecting four steals. Conner Verdugo scored 11 and Trevor Weir scored 10, with each player shooting 50% or better.
Embry-Riddle will now return home to play its final two Cal Pac games of 2022, starting with La Sierra on Thursday, December 8th. Tipoff from the ERAU Activity Center is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
