Box Score PRESCOTT, ARIZ. – The Embry-Riddle men's basketball team returned to its home floor and put up another good fight on Saturday night, but ultimately fell to Saint Katherine 67-56 in the ERAU Activity Center. The Eagles hit yet another cold stretch offensively, as the team did not make a field goal and scored just one point before halftime, which seemingly made the difference down the stretch.
The Eagles had a second half to build upon, as they outscored the Firebirds in the final 20 minutes and held the opponent to 41% shooting. Embry-Riddle was also able to get to the line a lot, getting 15 free throw attempts, knocking down 13.
Three ERAU starters finished the game in double-digit scoring figures, led by David Teibo and Conner Verdugo who had 14 each. Conner Verdugo also dished out five assists and grabbed a pair of rebounds.
Teibo was great from the floor again, making six of nine attempts and grabbing six rebounds. Teibo also had a pair of steals and played tough against the physical post players of Saint Katherine.
The Eagles get back on the floor on Sunday night when they bring in Westcliff to close out the weekend. Tipoff from the ERAU Activity Center is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
