Box Score PRESCOTT, ARIZ. – The Embry-Riddle men's basketball team built itself a solid lead, but Westcliff just would not go away and eventually came back to down the Eagles on Sunday night. ERAU had a chance to take the lead in the final seconds with the game tied at 69, but the Warriors got a stop and scored a layup with two ticks left on the clock to leave Arizona with a victory.
David Teibo was able to record a double-double again, his second consecutive this weekend. The Cal Pac Freshman of the Year candidate scored 11 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, getting ten of those on the defensive end.
Four Eagle players finished in double-digit scoring, with Luke Dunn and Conner Verdugo each scoring 14. In his second start this season, Christmas Togiai, Jr. scored 11 along with Teibo.
ERAU was also sharing the offense as well, with the team totaling for 14 on the night. Conner Verdugo and Togiai, Jr. had four assists each, and everyone in the starting lineup had at least one.
The Eagles will hit the road for the final time next week, starting with a trip to Antelope Valley. Tipoff from Southern California is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. AZ Time.
