PRESCOTT, ARIZ. – The Embry-Riddle women's basketball team got a great chance for a signature win at an important time of the season against Westcliff, and had a three-point lead late in the fourth quarter. From the 3:35 mark when they got the three-point advantage thanks to Zakiirah King, the Eagles scored just one point the remainder of the game, and the Warriors eeked out a 52-49 win on Sunday.

The Eagles had another great effort on the defensive end, as they allowed just 17 field goal makes, and kept Westcliff at 22% from the free throw line. Embry-Riddle also had seven steals and a block on Sunday night.

Susie Reynoso led all Eagle scorers with ten points, and was able to grab five rebounds in the process. Every ERAU player to check into the game scored at least two points, and everyone had at least a field goal.

While the Eagles did not finish with the result the team was looking for, they put together a great effort to battle back into the contest. ERAU trailed by 12 deep into the third quarter, and was able to cut that deficit to one before the final ten minutes.

Emrby-Riddle will get back on the court next week for its final road trip of the season. The team will see Antelope Valley in Riverside, Calif., with tipoff scheduled for 6:30 p.m. AZ Time.
