Box Score LANCASTER, CALIF. – The Embry-Riddle men's basketball team did not have a great start to the second half on Sunday, as they trailed by 24 five minutes into the final half. The Eagles fought hard and were able to get within 10, but eventually fell to Antelope Valley to close out its road trip.
Embry-Riddle had a decent shooting night, making 49.1% of its attempts and shooting 41.2% from three. Sunday was packed with free thrown from both sides, and ERAU made 22 of 27 from the stripe.
Chase Verdugo was the Eagles' leading scorer on Friday, making six of his nine shots and finishing with 21 points. Chase Verdugo also made four of six attempts from three, and dished out a trio of assists.
Conner Verdugo had a solid all-around game, finishing with 16 points and a game-high six assists. Conner Verdugo also had three rebounds on the defensive end.
Christmas Togiai, Jr. had 14 points, shooting 50% from the floor and a perfect seven of seven from the free throw line. Trevor Weir was the fourth Eagle to finish in double figures, scoring 12 points on 55.5% shooting.
Embry-Riddle will now return home for a pair of games as the back half of the conference season rolls on. The Eagles will host Simpson next Thursday, January 26th, with tipoff from the ERAU Activity Center scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
