Box Score LANCASTER, CALIF. – Any time Embry-Riddle and Antelope Valley come together, an intense game that has meaningful standings implications is to be expected. Sunday afternoon was no different, as the two teams faced off again after its thrilling game in Prescott in December.
Embry-Riddle took a three-point lead into halftime, and the game was tied heading into the fourth quarter. An outstanding shooting performance by UAV, compounded with ten ERAU turnovers, led to the Eagles falling to the Pioneers and splitting the season series.
For the second consecutive season, Susie Reynoso had an excellent performance in Lancaster, as the junior scored 20 points and pulled in eight rebounds. Reynoso made four of her seven field goal attempts, and was 10 off 11 from the free throw line.
Hannah Urbano was once again the main distributor on offense for Embry-Riddle, as she finished with five assists to go along with 10 points. Urbano was also active on defense, nabbing a game-high four steals.
Embry-Riddle was very active on the glass all afternoon, outrebounding Antelope Valley 38-20. The Eagles crashed the offensive glass again as well, getting 14 second-chance opportunities.
The Eagles will come back to Prescott for its final two-game conference week of the season. That homestand starts with a matchup against Simpson on Thursday, January 26th, with tipoff from the ERAU Activity Center scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
