PRESCOTT, ARIZ. – For the second time this season, the Embry-Riddle men's basketball team got itself over .500 in Cal Pac play, this time pushing its record to 4-3 with a win over Pacific Union on Friday. The Eagles have won its second consecutive conference game in the 79-61 effort, taking with just under eight minutes to go in the first half and never look back.

With the game tied at 19 and 7:47 remaining in the first half, Dennis Pomazanov tipped in a missed shot that jumpstarted a 22-14 run that gave ERAU a 41-33 lead at the break. The Eagles would then go on a 14-5 run over the opening 4:41 of the second half to pull away and never look back.

Embry-Riddle did an excellent job sharing the ball, posting 24 assists on 31 made field goals. Six different players recorded at least two assists, and five players had three or more helpers.

Pomazanov finished with a double-double on Friday, scoring ten points to go along with ten rebounds. Pomazanov also had four assists and three steals on the evening.

Trevor Weir had 20 points, making ten of his 17 shots in a variety of ways. Weir also had a pair of rebounds, three assists and a steal.

Conner Verdugo also had a game-high 20 points, going 7-13 from the floor and 3-6 from behind the arc. Conner Verdugo also had a game-high six assists, five rebounds and two steals.

Christmas Togiai, Jr. was all over the stat sheet finishing with nine rebounds, six assists and four steals. Togiai, Jr. also had seven points, and was hard on the offensive glass, grabbing there rebounds off ERAU misses.

The Eagles will go for its third consecutive conference victory on Sunday when they host Cal Maritime. Tipoff from the ERAU Activity Center is scheduled for 4 p.m.
