Box Score Embry-Riddle had a cold shooting night as they fell to the Firestorm from Arizona Christian on Wednesday evening in the Activity Center.
ERAU led until midway into the first quarter, but ACU ultimately was too strong as they had a 17-13 lead after the first ten minutes.
In the second quarter, the Firestorm extended their lead to nine points, but the Eagles slowly chipped away at it. At the half the score was 30-25 in favor of ACU.
Arizona Christian came out shooting in the second half and brought their lead back to nine points, however Embry-Riddle fought back. ERAU was within striking distance many times throughout the quarter as they quickly cut the lead to four points and even to three for a period of time. At the end of the third quarter, ACU led 49-42.
In the final quarter of the game, the Firestorm shot 64.3% to pull away from the Eagles. Embry-Riddle could not close the gap as they lost 74-65.
Susie Reynoso (Escondido, Calif.) led ERAU with 12 points tonight and Hannah Urbano (Kailua, Hawaii) added 11 off the bench for the Eagles. Zakiirah King (Chandler, Ariz.) and Mehgan Strickler (Glendale, Ariz.) each had eight rebounds on the night.
Embry-Riddle will play again on Monday, November 13th at 2pm against the #5 ranked Fighting Saints of Carroll College.
