IRVINE, CALIF. – The Embry-Riddle women's basketball team took one step closer to clinching the third seed in the Cal Pac Tournament as they defeated Westcliff, 68-54, on Thursday night. The win ensured the Eagles will be a top four seed in the tournament, and are looking to clinch the highest seed left in the conference tournament.

Embry-Riddle had a good shooting night, knocking down 44.8% of its shots and hitting six three-point field goals. The Eagles were tough on the glass once again, as they outrebounded the Warriors by six and had twice as many offensive rebounds.

Zakiirah King had a busy night, playing 30 minutes and scoring 14 points on 5-for-8 shooting. King had the team high in points to go along with three rebounds and an assist.

Ella Schott had a great night off the bench, scoring 11 points and shooting 62.5% from the field. The sophomore also had a game-high five assists, plus had a block, a steal, and a pair of defensive rebounds.

Kate McBride made the most of her 12 minutes, as she scored 10 points and made all but one of her field goal attempts. McBride also dished out three assists, blocked two shots and also had a steal.

Sydney Mickulin made 50% of her shots on Thursday, finishing with 13 points. Mickulin was also a force defensively, picking up three steals, three rebounds and a block.

Embry-Riddle will wrap up its regular season less than 24 hours from now when they visit Saint Katherine. Tipoff from the USK Sports Complex in San Marcos, Calif. is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. AZT/5:30 p.m. PST.
