Embry-Riddle showed well at the Mile High Open hosted in the Activity Center on campus on Saturday as nine Eagles places in their weight classes.  

At 125lbs, Allan Hendricks (Corona, Calif.) and Landon Smith (Bethel, Alaska) tied for 1st place.  Hendricks won his first match by tech fall, second a major decision and he won his semifinal match by fall in 5:57.  Smith won both his first two matches by fall and he won 12-8 in his semifinal match.  

Adam Stanley (Costa Mesa, Calif.) and Christian Lopez (Sahuarita, Ariz.) tied for 3rd at 141lbs.  Both Stanley and Lopez recieved a first round by and won their first match before losing their second and working their way through the consolation bracket to reach the 3rd place match.  

At 157lbs, Jayden Luttrell (Albuquerque, N.M.) finished in 1st place.  Luttrell won by fall in his first three matches and used an 8-1 decision to reach the championship match.  

Keller Rock (Chino Valley, Ariz.) also took 1st at 165lbs.  Rock won two matches by fall and won two matches by tech fall to finish 1st.  

At 174lbs, Daniil Gorshkov (Moscow, Russia) won three matches by major decision and one by tech fall on his way to a 1st place finish.  

ERAU had two wrestlers place at 285lbs as Kenneth Copley (Sugar City, Idaho) finished first and Corbin Hayes (Lompoc, Calif.) came in third.  Copley won his first three matches by fall and finished his day with a 16-4 major decision in the championship.  Hayes won his first match but then lost moving him to the consolation bracket.  He used a win by fall, a major decision, and two decisions to run through the consolation bracket for his 3rd place finish.    

Embry-Riddle will be back on the mat on Thursday, November 21st as the Eagles head to Tempe to take on Arizona State at 5:30pm.
