After two days of wrestling, Saturday brought the final day of the 2023-2024 wrestling season with day three of the NAIA National Championships at Hartman Arena in Park City, Kansas.
In the morning session, Kenneth Copley (Sugar City, Idaho) earned an escape early in the second period against his opponent from Menlo in the 285lb bracket. Copley's lead lasted through the second period until Antonia Dacosta earned an escape of his own in the third period and the two were tied 1-1 at the end of regulation. In the overtime period, Dacosta earned a takedown for the sudden victory win. Copley finished in 8th and earned All-American honors in his freshman season.
In the evening session, Embry-Riddle had one wrestler, Keller Rock (Chino Valley, Ariz.) at 165lbs. Rock arrived in the championship match by pinning his opponent the #1 seed in his semifinal match in just 2:14. In the championship bout, Rock earned a first period take down and was up 3-0 after one period. In the second period Rock escaped but then was taken down twice and ended up losing by decision. Rock is an All-American at the 165lb weight class for the Eagles.
