Embry-Riddle took the NAIA's #5 team to extra innings, but a walk off sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 8^th gave the Lady Owls of Oregon Tech the 4-3 win over the Eagles at Stilwell Stadium on Tuesday afternoon. 

ERAU scored first as the Eagles quickly loaded the bases in the top of the 1^st inning with two walks and an error by the OIT defense.  Emma Almodoba (Tucson, Ariz.) earned the RBI as she was hit by a pitch to bring home Maddie Judge (Oro Valley, Ariz.). 

Oregon Tech tied the game at 1-1 on a solo homerun in the 4^th.  The Lady Owls scored another run in the 5^th and added a third run in the 6^th as they led 3-1 heading into the 7^th inning. 

With one out, Tatum Chestnut (Peoria, Ariz.) hit a single to start an ERAU rally in the 7^th inning.  Leah Salas (Sahuarita, Ariz.) was then walked to put runners on first and second.  Diana Miranda Montano (Tucson, Ariz.) hit a double to the left field fence to bring both runners home and tie the score at 3-3. 

Embry-Riddle was unable to bring a run home in the top of the 8^th inning as two runners were stranded after Almodoba led off with a double and Lily Anderson (Flagstaff, Ariz.) reached after she was hit by a pitch. 

OIT ended the game on a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 8^th to take the game 4-3. 

Vanessa Brink (Vail, Ariz.) started in the circle for the Eagles giving up just two hits and striking out five.  Claire Streeter (San Marino, Calif.) came in in relief for Brink also striking out five batters. 

Embry-Riddle will play again tomorrow in Klamath Falls at 3:30pm in an elimination game.
