Embry-Riddle only lost two matches on Saturday as the Eagles beat Arizona Christian 38-9 in a dual held at the Prescott Valley Event Center.
Landon Smith started things for ERAU with a 4-1 win at 125lbs. Â
After a loss at 133lbs,
Christian Lopez earned a 5-2 decision at 141lbs over Channing Porter of ACU to make the score 6-6 in the dual. Â
At 149lbs,
Jonah Chew earned a first period pin in just 2:11.Â
Logan Hancey wrestled for the Eagles at 157lbs and won be tech fall 19-4 as he got six takedowns in his match. Â
Wyatt Rewerts earned the fastest fall of the dual at 165lbs in 1:46 over Christian Gallardo to earn 6 more team points for ERAU. Â
At 174lbs,
Tauataina Tuikolongahau won 19-4 by tech fall in the 3rd period. Â
ERAU lost at 184lbs, but then
Trenton Bloomquist won by major decision 13-2 at 197lbs and
Kenneth Copley finished the match with a fall in 2:29 for Embry-Riddle. Â
Embry-Riddle will be in Iowa next weekend as ERAU will participate in the National Duals on January 10th and 11th in Cedar Falls. Â
