Embry-Riddle was led to a first place finish by
Dillon Eisner as the Eagles finished in spots 1st through 6th at the ACU Firestorm Invitational hosted at Sahuaro Ranch Park in Glendale on Saturday.
Eisner ran the 8K race in a time of 25:16. He was followed by
Ben Smith who finished in 2nd place with a time of 25:42.
Nicolas Urquidez came in 3rd place as he covered the course in 26:02. Just behind him was
Jacob Ortiz with a time of 26:07.
Nathan Kutscher and
Nathan Nations finished in 5th and 6th place with Kutscher finishing in 26:16 and Nations in 26:19. Coming in 8th was
Cam Shepherd with a time of 26:35.
Benjamin Kovach finished in 9th with a time of 26:51. Kovach was followed by
Joseph Fox and
Zander Wood. Fox ran the race in 27:07 and Wood in 27:19.
Carlos Soto was next for ERAU with a time of 27:29 which is a new personal best for Soto.
Joshua Durban came in 15th and finishing just two seconds behind him was
Maxwell Kilstrom. Trevor Head finished with a time of 27:48.
Luca Calero ran the race in 27:59 and
Dave Richards rounded out the Eagles with a time of 28:42.
ERAU will race again next at the Highlander Invitational hosted by UC Riverside on October 18th.
