Sophia Noriega reset her own school record with a 2nd place finish in her heat in the 5000m race at the Bryan Clay Invite Friday morning with a time of 16:51.66 and hit an NAIA A National Standard as the Eagles raced in Southern California at the Bryan Clay Invite and the Leopard Invite.
1500m run at Leopard Invite
Noriega took second overall with a time of 4:35.22 beating the previous track record.Â
Kylie Monson finished with a time of 4:57.9 followed by
Fionnula Carew in 5:27.29.Â
Ariela Lerner ran the race in 5:33.79. Â
5000m run at Leopard Invite
Carlee Murphy, Mia Kemp, Tiffany Terry, Heidi Donovan, and
Mia Sanchez all ran in the 5000m race. Murphy finished in 13th with a time of 17:52. Kemp crossed the finish line in 18:09 which put her in 26th. Terry finished in 18:45. Donovan finished in 19:11 followed by Sanchez in 22:09. Â
Embry-Riddle will race next April 23rd-24th at the GSAC Championships hosted at Soka University. Â
