Eagles Lose Battle to Simpson

Redding, Ca. - The Embry-Riddle women's volleyball team loses first game of the road trip Simpson in a five set heartbreaker.

The Eagles on their last weekend of the regular season could not pull out the win behind the strong offensive performance from Jordan Jones who had 15 kills on the night. The Redhawks took control in the first set defeating The Eagles 22-25. It was a a short lived lead and The Eagles were able to answer back with wins in sets two and three 25-20 in each but they were unable to capitalize on the momentum to win set four. The Redhawks came back and took the set 14-25, then finished the game with a 16-18 win.

Monica Gomez and Hannah Mercurio also had outstanding individual efforts, with 35 digs from Gomez and 31 assists from Mercurio. The Eagles return to the court tonight against Pac Union in the final game of the regular season. GO EAGLES!
