PRESCOTT - After finishing their last home games last weekend, the record-setting ERAU Volleyball team will finish their regular season this weekend with games at Ottawa University and Benedictine University at Mesa. Your Eagles are undefeated in conference play, and have earned the most wins in program history, the most wins of any team in CalPac history, and have earned votes on the NAIA Top 25 Poll for the first time in program history. They have already clinched the CalPac Conference title, and have a top seed going into the postseason conference tournament, starting on November 9.
This Thursday, November 2, ERAU will travel to Ottawa University Arizona in Surprise. OUAZ previously traveled up to Prescott, and were handed a resounding 3-0 loss by the Eagles on October 6. The Spirit have gone 4-3 since then, and will be playing in their final game of the season. In one of their first seasons fielding a team, OUAZ has earned an overall 10-12 record, and will be looking to end their season on a high note.
On Saturday, November 4, the Eagles will play their final conference game against the Benedictine University at Mesa Redhawks. Earlier this season, the Eagles bested the Redhawks 3-1. Since then, the Redhawks are 5-2, and are currently fifth in the conference standings. BU-Mesa recently earned hard victories over opponents such as La Sierra and Pacific Union, and will be fighting to secure a spot in the postseason conference tournament. The Redhawks have not won against the Eagles since the 2015 season, so will definitely put up a fight to prove themselves.
ERAU currently has the 10th-best record in the NAIA. Jalin Yoder leads the Eagles in kills, with 342 for the season. Audrey Baldwin has proved to be an invaluable asset, with 1005 assists so far this season. Kaitlin Shroll has 46 aces, and Megan Riley has 389 digs. Be sure to support your Eagles as they finish out the regular season this weekend!
