?After sweeping through their first two games of conference play, the ERAU Volleyball team will play at home for the first time in nearly a month against theRedhawksof Simpson University and the Pioneers of Pacific Union College this weekend. The Eagles have won their past three games and are currently 12-3. The game against SU will be on Friday at 7:00 p.m. in the Eagle Gym, and the game against PUC will be on Saturday at 8:00 p.m. in the same place.
?The Simpson UniversityRedhawks, from Redding, California,are currently 3-11. They lost their first two conference games last weekend against La Sierra and Providence Christian, and have won only one set in their past three games. TheRedhawkshave not won a single set against the Eagles since 2015, when ERAU went 2-1 against them in the season. SU is led by Junior Ashley Job, who has 22 kills in her past three matches.Alsowatch for Senior Sara Salmon, who has 12 digs and 31 assists in her past two matches.
?Pacific Union College is currently 1-4, with their only victory coming last weekend against Providence Christian in aCalPacmatchup.AmandaLoeffler, who has 70 kills in five games, as well as LaurenPurdom, who has 44 kills so far this season,leadthe Pioneers.Setter Hannah Clarke had 54 assists over her past three games, and provides PUC security in the backcourt.The Eagles have not lost to the Pioneers since the 2013 season.
?The Eagles are undefeated in conference play, and look to keep it that way this weekend. The outside hitter pair ofJalinYoder and LyndseyWeilerhave been stellar so far this season for the Eagles, consistently working together to lead ERAU in kills in nearly every match. Sophomore Audrey Baldwin has been stalwart in her position in the backcourt, and has been a critical piece of the Eagles' successes so far this season. Freshman CayleeRobalinhas been a very welcome addition to the team, and has found a home as an outside hitter.
