LANCASTER, Calif. – On their first game of their California Pacific Conference road trip, (19) Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (Ariz.) volleyball (24-6, 14-0 Cal Pac) needed four sets to get their 14th straight victory in Cal Pac play beating University of Antelope Valley (4-24, 4-10 Cal Pac), 20-25, 25-14, 25-20, 25-19.
It was a huge night for the sophomores as they combined for 49 of the Eagles 79 points on the night. Erin Clark (SO/Phoenix, Ariz.) had 19 of those coming up with 16 kills, 2 aces and adding 15 digs to her total. Not alone in her production Caylee Robalin (SO/El Paso, Texas) added 18 points, 16 came on kills and 2 on aces. Sharik Joseph (SO/San Diego, Calif.) contributed a solid 12 points with 10 on kills and adding 3 blocks.
After losing the first set the Eagles would come out swing in the later sets and wouldn't look back. ERAU would only trail by two points in the third and that was the biggest lead that the pioneers could manage to hold. Audrey Baldwin (JR/Santa Barbara, Calif.) would continue her streak of 30+ assists matches as she would end the match with 41 which is her 10th 40+ assist match in 2018.
Riddle would end the night hitting at a solid .234 with 60 kills and 82 digs. Kat Yung (FR/Phoenix, Ariz.) led the way in terms of digs with 17 with Baldwin and Clark right behind.
Next up for the Eagles will be their last road game of the season when they take on Providence Christian College (6-17, 5-9 Cal Pac) tomorrow (10/27) at 7:00 p.m.
