MERCED, Calif. – On their first California Pacific Conference road trip of the 2018 season the (19) Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (Ariz.) volleyball team attacked at a .337 clip to get the sweep over the University of California at Merced, 25-20, 25-19, 25-14.
ERAU (12-6, 3-0) never trailed in the first set and handled their business in solid fashion as they attacked as a team at .275. Audrey Baldwin (JR/Santa Barbara, Calif.) set up the show for the Eagles as she had 42 assists which easily led the team. It only got better from ERAU as the match continued. Every set for the Eagles was an improvement on the last; hitting at .306 (2nd Set) and .480 (3rd Set).
Once again Caylee Robalin (SO/El Paso, Texas) and Erin Clark (SO/Phoenix, Ariz.) had terrific games both coming up with double digit kills. Sharik Joseph (SO/San Diego, Calif.) and Veronica Norkus (JR/Prescott, Ariz.) ended the game with a ridiculous attack percentage of .571. A terrific attack and well balanced defense was too much for the Bobcats (4-7, 2-1) tonight.
Volleyball continues their road trip as they head to Simpson University (9/21) tomorrow before their road finale at Pacific Union (9/22) on Sunday.
