Embry-Riddle Rolls In Three at Providence Christian

Box Score

Pasadena, Calif. – In the first of a three-game swing through California, the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (Ariz.) women's volleyball team got off to an impressive start, defeating Providence Christian in three sets, 25-14, 25-15, 25-11. Erin Clark (SR/Phoenix, Ariz.), Caylee Robalin (SR/El Paso, Texas), and Dalia Haase (FR/Tucson, Ariz.) combined for 22 for ERAU's 36 kills in the match as they remained undefeated in California Pacific Conference (Cal Pac) play.

A kill by Robalin had Embry-Riddle (14-5, 6-0 Cal Pac) up 11-4 to start the match. Providence Christian (4-7, 1-5 Cal Pac) used a 7-4 surge to close to 15-11, but ERAU came back with a 7-0 run to take control. Elisa Pauzer (SR/Campinas, Brazil) had a pair of kills and a block in the run as the Eagles went on to take the set.

Leading 10-8 in the second set, Embry-Riddle used another strong run to put the set firmly in its control. The Eagles put on a 9-1 run on the Sea Beggars, moving out to a 19-9 lead on a Pauzer block. Providence Christian came back with three straight points, but that would be it as ERAU went on to a 10-point win.

Embry-Riddle wasted no time in the third set, running out to a 12-0 lead on a kill from Haase. Providence Christian could not recover from its deficit, not scoring more than two straight points the rest of the way. Haase had two more kills down the stretch, including the final point that put the match in the win column for ERAU.
