(25) Eagles Impress in Four-Set Victory

PRESCOTT, ARIZ. – The ERAU women's volleyball team returned home for the first time since September 25 and continued its home-floor dominance with a 3-1 win over Simpson on Friday afternoon. Outside of the second set the Red Hawks won, the Eagles kept Simpson to under 20 points in each of the other sets during the match.

The Eagles (19-5, 10-1 Cal Pac) dominated most of the statistical categories, especially when it came to hitting. ERAU had 56 kills to the Red Hawks 36, and also had a hitting percentage of .275 compared to Simpson's .118.

ERAU had four players finish with double digit kills, led by Erin Clark's 15. Dalia Haas put together an exceptional hitting day, finishing with 11 kills and just one error on 13 total attacks (.769 hitting percentage).

Sharik Joseph was also efficient when hitting, finishing the day with 12 kills on 21 attacks and finishing with a hitting percentage of .381. Caylee Robalin was the other Eagles player with double-digit kills, finishing with 10.

The Eagles finished with 56 assists, most of them coming from Terra Gordon and Katie Rolle. Gordon has 22 assists while Rolle was right behind her teammate with 21. Six different players had an assist on the afternoon for ERAU.

Serving was strong on Friday for the Eagles as well, racking up ten total against the Red Hawks. Lily Figgins had four aces, plus Gordon and Kat Yung had a pair each.

ERAU gets back on the court Saturday afternoon with the final game of its weekend. The first serve against UC Merced from Eagle Gym is scheduled for 4 PM.
