Box Score PRESCOTT, ARIZ. – The ERAU women's volleyball team moved one step closer to the Arizona division championship, defeating Saint Katherine in straight sets on Thursday night. The Eagles put together an excellent all-around performance, holding the Firebirds to 17 points or less in two of the three sets.
When the Eagles went to attack, there was rarely a mistake to be found, as they hit .292 and finished with 43 kills. The second set was especially impressive, as Embry-Riddle had just three attack errors and hit .382.
Katie Rolle was great as a distributor and an attacker, as she finished with 18 assists and seven kills. Her assist total was a game-high, and her seven kills came on nine attacks for a hitting percentage of .778.
Erin Clark continued her great hitting streak, finishing the night with 16 kills and a .343 hitting percentage. Caylee Robalin finished with nine kills, and four players had hitting percentages over .340.
Julia Kjenstad put together an excellent night defensively, finishing with two solo block and five block assists. Kat Yung was all over the floor on the defensive end as well, ending the evening with 13 digs.
The Eagles will hit the court again tomorrow night looking to clinch the Arizona division with a win. First serve against Westcliff is scheduled for 6 p.m. from Eagle Gym.
