PASADENA, CALIF. – The Embry-Riddle volleyball team wrapped up its final Southern California road trip of the regular season in spectacular fashion, putting on a hitting clinic in a four-set win over Providence Christian. The Eagles recorded 56 kills and just 12 hitting errors as they got back over .500 in conference play with the stretch run of games coming up.

The Eagles hit .285 or better in all three sets that it won, including a pair of sets where the team hit at least .300. The most efficient offensive set was the opening frame, where ERAU posted a .361 kill percentage.

Three different players had hitting percentages over .400 for Embry-Riddle, as Kelly Hansen, Dalia Haase and Juliette van den Herik all had efficient hitting days. van den Herik had ten kills on no hitting errors and just 21 attacks, and was also one of four players to have 10+ kills.

Haase was tied for the game lead in kills with 11 and had a kill percentage of .429. Emma Barber also had 11 kills, and also finished with 17 digs defensively.

Everyone on Embry-Riddle was committed defensively on Saturday, as five different Eagles had 10 or more digs. Lily Figgins had 28 digs on Saturday to lead the match, as the libero continued her excellent sophomore season.

Embry-Riddle will return to Prescott to begin a five-game homestand that starts with a pair of matches next week. The Eagles will host Antelope Valley on Thursday, October 20, with first serve scheduled for 6 p.m.
