Box Score Prescott, Ariz.- After playing five sets in last night's Cal Pac opener, Embry-Riddle made quick work of Providence Christian tonight as they swept the Seabeggars.
The first set of the night was the closest as the teams battled to a 25-23 ERAU win. Dalia Haase (Tucson, Ariz.) had 6 kills in the set to lead Embry-Riddle and Lily Figgins (St. Charles, Mo.) added two aces in the set for the Eagles.
After an ERAU timeout as the Seabeggars were up 14-10, Embry-Riddle came out ready to play as they went on a 10-1 run to take the lead at 20-15. Emma Barber (Goodyear, Ariz.) and Hannah Clear (Fort Worth, Texas) each had two kills for ERAU in the second set as Embry-Riddle won 25-16. Clear also had two block assists in set 2.
In the final set of the night, Kelly Hansen (El Dorado Hills, Calif.) had three kills for the Eagles as they again used a long run to take a 17-10 lead. Once ERAU was up, they got timely kills by Haase, Barber, and Hansen to put the set away 25-17 and win the match 3-0.
Figgins ended the night with five service aces and eleven digs. Katie Rolle (Missoula, Mont.) dished out 31 assists from her setter position for Embry-Riddle.
