Embry-Riddle finished in 5th place out of 20 teams at the UC Riverside Highlander Invitational on Saturday hosted at UC Riverside. ERAU finished with a team time of 2:05.02 and an 8K time of 25:00.
Demetris Love, Jr. (Phoenix, Ariz.) continued his strong senior year as he set a school record in the 8K and finished in 2nd place. Love, Jr. finished with a time of 23:53.9.
Dillon Eisner (Paulden, Ariz.) finished in 14th place and was second for ERAU. Eisner ran his race in 24:33.6.
The next runner for the Eagles was
Ben Smith (Spokane, Wash.) came in 33rd place with a time of 25:02.6.
Finishing with a time of 25:43.5 was
Jacob Ortiz (Chandler, Ariz.). Ortiz averaged a 5:10.4 mile pace.
Nathan Kutscher (Huntington Beach, Calif.) and
Nick Logan (Phoenix, Ariz.) were the next Embry-Riddle finishers. Kutscher came in 81st with a time of 25:49.5 and Logan in 87th with a time of 25:52.7.
Ben Kovach (Chandler, Ariz.) averaged a mile time of 5:23.5 as he finished the 8K race in 26:48.2 to finish out the Embry-Riddle scoring.

Nicolas Urquidez (Austin, Texas),
Austin Lemus (Chino, Calif.),
Tyler Rafferty (Surprise, Ariz.), and
Carlos Soto (San Salvador, El Salvador).
Embry-Riddle will have a little time off as the next race for the Eagles will be at the Master's University for the GSAC Cross Country Championships on Friday, November 8th.
