Despite being outshot 20-9, the Eagles kept the Lions from converting for 90 minutes to earn the road win in Aliso Viejo, Calif. The Eagles scored first in the 12th minute of play whensenior captain Chase Rinehartfound the back of the net off of a cross fromStefano Recinos. Twenty-six minutes into the match, Soka'sAlexander Whytefired a full-volley towards the Eagles' goal, but ERAU keeperJake Huttoturned Whyte's shot around the post, making the diving save, and denying the Lions of a goal. Soka's Julian Nazar's diving header in the 58th minute missed just wide of the Eagles' net, proving to be one of the Lions' best chances of the day. ERAU's defensive efforts withstood Soka's barrage of shots, improving the team's Cal Pac record to 5-2 and 7-8 overall. The Eagles are tied with Antelope Valley for third in the Cal Pac. SUA, tied with La Sierra at 5-3 in conference (7-5-1 overall) needs to win its final two matches with UAV and Providence Christian to have a shot at one of the four postseason berths.

The Eagles topped the Lady Lions in Aliso Viejo, Calif. Embry-Riddle's Breanna Larkinscored both of the Eagle's goals, the first coming six minutes into the match afterKrista Leegot free inside of the 18-yard box where she crossed to Larkin for the finish. Soka'sSydney Byersanswered back seven minutes later, blasting her shot from the top of the box towards the right corner of the Eagle's goal. Byers's shot was struck so well that the Eagle defender standing in the mouth of the goal was unable clear the shot off of the goal line and, instead, redirected it into the goal for the equalizer. The two teams remained tied for the next 75 minutes of play. In the 82nd minute Larkin found herself in scoring position after receiving a through ball fromNat Bristol. Larkin hit her shot past Soka goalkeeperAlicia Davisfor the game-winner. ERAU is now 4-1 in conference action and 9-2-2 overall, while SUA slips to 3-3 in the Cal Pac and 5-10 overall. The Eagles conclude their road trip tomorrow when they travel to Anaheim to face Bethesda University in their final non-conference games of the year.
