The top two teams in the California Pacific Conference, Embry-Riddle and UC Merced, filled half of the slots on the All-Cal Pac teams, voted on by the conference coaches in a postseason poll. ERAU forward Estelle Fortes was named the top offensive player, and UCM's Desiree Coles was awarded the top defensive honor.
The Bobcats, who received votes in the latest NAIA national poll, had six players voted by the coaches to the All-Cal Pac team. No. 19 ERAU placed five players, Marymount California and Soka University of America each garnered four, and Antelope Valley had three named to the squad. La Sierra, Providence Christian, Sierra Nevada, and Simpson all had players earning Honorable Mention.
ERAU's Fortes was tabbed the top player in the conference by Cal Pac coaches. The senior forward played a key role in the Eagles' balanced offensive attack that led them to the top of the Cal Pac standings. Fortes, who finished in the top ten in four offensive categories, put up 11 goals in 17 matches this fall, four of those coming in conference games.
UCM defender Coles anchored one of the top defensive units in the country and was tabbed as the top defender in the Cal Pac by the coaches. A three-time First Team pick, Coles led a defense that surrendered just 10 goals all season, and a minuscule three in eight Cal Pac matches. The Bobcats registered three shutouts in those eight conference games.
MCU's Emily Atkinson was named the Newcomer of the year. She finished her first Cal Pac campaign tied for third in Goals per Game (0.75) and Goals (6), 4th in Points (15), 5th in Points per Game (1.88), tied for 6th in Assists per Game (0.38) and Assists (3). She averaged 3.25 Shots per Game.
Brooke Ybarra of MCU was selected as the Cal Pac's top freshman after compiling impressive numbers in her rookie season. Ybarra totaled the most assists in conference play with eight and tied for the most Assists per Game in conference (1.0). She was tied for 6th in Points (12) and Shots per Game (3.50), and she tied for 7th in Points per Game (1.50).
Roman DuChateau, in his first season with Antelope Valley, was named the top coach after guiding his squad to a 12-5 overall mark, including a flawless 8-0 on their home pitch. The Pioneers earned the third seed in the conference tournament after going 6-2 in Cal Pac play.
