PALOS HEIGHTS, Ill. -- Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University finished their midwest road trip with an overtime loss to No.22 Trinity Christian College. Despite having more shots (14) and corners (7) the Eagles (2-3-2) could not get the win in hostile territory.

ERAU had the upper hand when it came to shots in the first half, they out shot the Trolls (4-0) 6-3 in the period. Parker Lee (SR/Kennewick, Wash.) led the Eagles attacking getting three shots towards goal but ould not make the TCC save a shot. Caitlyn Aaron (SR/Flower Mound, Texas) was needed once in the half to stop a shot from the Trolls attack and she did so easily as both team went to the half scoreless.

The Eagles and Trolls continued to jostle for control of the ball in the second half but it was ERAU who were able to put the majority of the pressure on. Maddy Mak (SR/Renton, Wash.) was able to hit a screaming drive towards the goal that went just high but had it been on frame would have beat the Trolls keeper. With only eight minutes remaining Erica Heil (SR/Anchorage, Alaska) made a run into the box and put a shot on frame but was pushed wide for a corner.

Once again the Eagles and Trolls battled for control of the ball but neither get a grip. The only attempt of the half came from Katy Hyde (FR/Denton, Texas) when she hit her shot just high of the crossbar. The trolls came back down the pitch and scored the game winner with 3:36 left in the half to win the game.

ERAU will be back at Varsity Field next weekend when they take on Arizona Christian at 7:00 pm MST.
