For the first time in her career, Embry-Riddle women's soccer midfielder Rae Yoshioka was named to a College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-American Team. The Cal Pac Player of the Year was selected to the Academic All-American Second Team, one of 22 NAIA athletes recognized on Wednesday.
Yoshioka had an amazing second season in Prescott, scoring 17 goals and dishing out 11 assists. Yoshioka scored 16 of her goals in conference contests, which was the eight-most in the NAIA this year.
Yoshioka was exceptional in the classroom as well, as the Hawai'i native has posted a 4.00 cumulative GPA. Yoshioka is currently studying Applied Biology, excelling in the subject during her time at Embry-Riddle.
