WADDELL, ARIZ. – The Embry-Riddle baseball team headed down to the Valley for a midweek game, and fell 9-5 against Arizona Christian on Tuesday night. The Eagles led at the Seventh-Inning Stretch, but ACU scored the final five runs of the game to even the season series.

The Eagles' biggest offensive inning came in the third, where a pair of two-hit singles to right field put ERAU in the lead. Luke Jepsen and Calvin Solie did the damage with the hits, as Embry-Riddle took advantage of walks and baserunners.

Jepsen and Solie each had two hit nights, and drove in the pair of runs. Seven different Eagle players had hits, and ERAU also drew five walks.

Danye Pengelly and Zach Bauer each pitched clean innings, giving up just one hit between the two of them. Pengelly struck out a pair of batters, and Bauer also recorded a punchout.

The Eagles will get back on the field on Friday when they continue conference play against Saint Katherine. Game one of the doubleheader at the ERAU baseball field is scheduled for 11 a.m.
