Game 1
Early Lead and Consistent Pressure
The Eagles fell behind early as The Master's scored a run in the first inning. However, Embry-Riddle quickly responded in the third inning with a three-run rally. Konner Nelson led off with a single, followed by Miles Murphy reaching on an error. Owen Cain walked to load the bases, setting the stage for Roberto Garza-Nunez, who popped up, but James Warren grounded into a double play to end the threat.
Mid-Game Surge
The Eagles continued to apply pressure, adding another run in the fifth inning. Warren singled and later scored on a triple by Sawyer Amato. The sixth inning proved to be the turning point, as Embry-Riddle exploded for six runs. Nelson was hit by a pitch, stole second, and scored on a double by Garza-Nunez. Errors by The Master's defense allowed additional runs to cross the plate, with Blake Moore and Caden Truman contributing key RBIs.
Strong Pitching Performance
Jesse Kaphing delivered a stellar performance on the mound for the Eagles, pitching eight innings, allowing only four hits, and striking out 11 batters. He kept The Master's hitters off balance throughout the game, only giving up one earned run. Zack Bauer closed out the game, pitching the ninth inning and securing the victory.
