REDDING, Calif. – There was not a lot of offense In either game of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (Ariz.) softball's double header with Simpson University on Saturday as the lost both games, 2-0 and 4-3.

Simpson pitching was the story in game one as the Eagles only had hits by Bailey Critchlow (SR/Stockton, Utah) and Haley Basye (SO/Tucson, Ariz.). Basye would reach third in the seventh but she was the only Eagle to make it into scoring position on the day.

After giving up two early runs in game two the Eagles mounted a mini comeback to get right back in it. After an Elyssa Bramer (JR/Lancaster, Calif.) scored a run on her double, Mikaeli Davidson (FR/Tempe, Ariz.) launched a ball over the wall to get the lead with only three outs remaining. Unfortunatley for the Eagles, the Redhawks were able to walk it off in the seventh to end the Eagles chances to win the conference.

They will play agin on Sunday (4/29) at 12:00 pm PST with a chance to make a statement before next weekend's conference championships.
