Box Score 2 The 24th-ranked Embry-Riddle softball team has a chance to clinch its first regular season Cal Pac championship this weekend as they head to La Sierra for a four game series on Friday and Sunday. If the Eagles win two of the games during the series, they will be the conference regular season championships and the top seed at the Cal Pac tournament during the first week of May.

The Opponent
La Sierra (20-16, 16-8): The Golden Eagles will be the first Cal Pac opponent Embry-Riddle faces that is over .500 overall, but have lost five of its last six games. They dropped three of four to Westcliff in a makeup series that saw two doubleheaders in a six-day stretch, with a pair of games against Hope International in between.
Eagle Notes
Despite playing just 32 games, the 156th-most in the NAIA, the Eagles have scored the 51st most runs in the entire country. Embry-Riddle has plated 223 runners, which is also second most in the Cal Pac while playing the least amount of games among conference teams.
ERAU also has five of the ten best hitters average-wise in the Cal Pac. Kate Delaney (.452), Mikaeli Davidson (.427) and Diana Miranda Montano (.418) occupy the 3-4-5 spots in the conference, while Rachel Hammons (.375) is eighth and Maddie Judge (.366) is tenth.
The Eagles also have 19 triples on the year, which ranks eighth in the NAIA. ERAU is led by Mikaeli Davidson's six three-base hits (ninth in the NAIA), and have five players with at least two triples.
Embry-Riddle ranks seventh nationally in batting average against, holding opponents to a .196 average so far this season. Davidson has the best batting average against, a .196 mark that is top 65 nationally.
Every pitcher to throw in the circle so far for Embry-Riddle has an ERA under 2.00. Brink has a Cal Pac best 1.09 ERA, while Davidson holds the second spot in the conference at 1.52.
