Box Score 1 | Box Score 2

PRESCOTT, ARIZ. – The 24th-ranked Embry-Riddle softball team wrapped up its historical regular season with another doubleheader sweep of Park-Gilbert on Sunday afternoon. The Eagles set program records for most wins in a season (37) and most conference wins in a season (29), and will enter the Cal Pac tournament on an 11-game win streak.

Game 1: #24 Embry-Riddle 8, Park-Gilbert 1

The Eagles scored in all but one inning, and pulled away from the Buccaneers early. Embry-Riddle got a pair of runs in innings 3-5, and a single tally in the first and sixth frames.

Five different Embry-Riddle players earned an RBI in the day's first game. Sam Holbert led the game with two, bringing home a pair with her double in the fifth.

Diana Miranda Montano had a perfect performance at the plate to start the day, going 4-for-4 and scoring a run. She also recorded an RBI with her double to center field in the fourth.

Emma Almodoba had three hits in the contest and drove in the game's first run with a single. Three different players had two hits, including seniors Danielle Jamieson and Aleena Alexander.

The Eagles loved the two-base hits, as the team smacked five of them in the morning game. Half of Miranda Montano's hits were doubles, and three different players also ended up on second following a hard-hit ball.

Senior Mikaeli Davidson had an excellent outing in her final home start of her career, allowing just four hits in seven innings. Davison also struck out ten batters, the third time this season she had 10+ punchouts in a game.

Game 2: #24 Embry-Riddle 10, Park-Gilbert 1 (5 Innings)

The Eagles came close to the run rule victory in game one, and accomplished the feat to wrap up the regular season. Throughout the Spring, Embry-Riddle collected 11 run-rule victories this season, with eight of those coming in Cal Pac play.

This time around, Embry-Riddle scored a majority of its runs in two innings, and all of its runs in a three-inning stretch. The Eagles scored four in the second and five in the fourth, with a run in the third sandwiched in, as the hit parade continued.

Lily Anderson had the biggest hit of them all, smacking a three-run home run in the fourth inning. Anderson also got on base two other times, getting hit with a pitch in the first and drawing a walk in the second.

Senior Rachel Hammons and Meredith Tutrone each had two-RBI singles in the second to give Embr-Riddle a 4-1 lead. The Eagles needed just seven hits to score its ten runs, capitalizing on Park-Gilbert errors and walks.

Vanessa Brink allowed just three hits in her five innings of work, striking out six. Brink has finished the regular season undefeated, the most wins without a loss for an Embry-Riddle pitcher in program history.

The Eagles will head to the Cal Pac Tournament in Riverside, Calif. on Wednesday as the number one seed. While they do not know the opponent quite yet, Embry-Riddle is slated to start its conference play at 2 p.m. on the tournament's opening day.
