Box Score 4 Embry-Riddle headed to Columbus, Georgia for five games for the NFCA Softball Tournament where ERAU went 2-3 on the weekend.
Eagle Pitcher Claire Streeter (San Marino, Calif.) was named to the All-Tournament team for her performances during the event.
Game 1
Embry-Riddle took on Johnson, Tenn. in the first game of the weekend. The Eagles won the game 10-2 in just six innings. Diana Miranda Montano (Tucson, Ariz.) and Emma Almodoba (Tucson, Ariz.) each had two hits for ERAU. Streeter picked up the win in game one scattering just six hits during her six innings of work and only allowing two runs to score. She also struck out 11 batters.
Game 2
ERAU dropped their second game on Friday afternoon to #8 ranked Central Methodist by a score of 8-3. Leah Salas (Tucson, Ariz.) led the Eagles with two hits and two RBIs on the afternoon. Vanessa Brink (Vail, Ariz.) struck out seven batters in her six innings of pitching.
Game 3
In their first game on Saturday, Embry-Riddle lost 5-4 to the eventual tournament champions Rio Grande. Judge had two hits in the game and Lily Anderson (Flagstaff, Ariz.) added two as well. Kate Delaney (Fort Collins, Colo.) pitched well for the Eagles and earned six strikeouts in her appearance.
Game 4
Embry-Riddle won 2-0 on Saturday afternoon against the NightHawks from Thomas. Streeter picked up another win as she gave up just two hits and struck out 12 batters. Judge, Anise Romo (Waddell, Ariz.), and Bradee Jeffery (Manteca, Calif.) each had two hits for the Eagles and Mirana Montano added two RBIs.
Game 5
In their last game of the tournament, ERAU took on #18 ranked Coastal Georgia. Embry-Riddle dropped the game 7-5. Almodoba had two hits for the Eagles and Meredith Tutrone (Scottsdale, Ariz.) had two RBIs. Brink struck out seven batters for ERAU.
Embry-Riddle will play again on March 1st when Cal Pac play begins in Prescott against the Buccaneers of Park-Gilbert.
