Both teams went three up three down in the second and third innings.
In the top of the 4th inning, the Yotes got a leadoff walk followed by a triple to score one run. The next batter hit a single which scored the runner from third and after the top of the 4th College of Idaho led 2-0. Embry-Riddle got a hit in the bottom of the 4th from Lily Anderson (Flagstaff, Ariz.) as she singled to right field but ERAU couldn't get anything going.
College of Idaho scored three more runs in the top of the 5th and another two in the top of the 7th on their way to their win.

Game 2
The second game of the day was also a low scoring one and Embry-Riddle led most of the game but ultimately fell 3-2 to Arizona Christian.
Anise Romo (Waddell, Ariz.) hit a single up the middle for ERAU in the top of the first inning, but that was it for the Eagles.
Pitcher, Claire Streeter (San Marino, Calif.) didn't allow a Firestorm batter to get a hit until the bottom of the 2nd inning.
Embry-Riddle scored their two runs in the top of the third inning. Meredith Tutrone (Scottsdale, Ariz.) led off the inning with a walk and then Maddie Judge (Oro Valley, Ariz.) used a sac bunt to move her to second base. Romo then got her second hit of the day, another single up the middle. Diana Miranda Montano (Tucson, Ariz.) hit a double to score both Tutrone and Romo.
In the bottom of the 6th inning, the Firestorm scored two runs and they scored the game winning run in the bottom of the 7th.
