Embry-Riddle kept pace at the top of the California Pacific Conference standings with two run rule victories over Saint Katherine's in Southern California on Friday afternoon as the Eagles won 11-2 and 11-1. 

Game 1

ERAU jumped out in front of USK in the top of the first inning.  A single by Maddie Judge (Oro Valley, Ariz.) followed by a homerun from Leah Salas (Sahuarita, Ariz.) made the score 2-0 before an out was recorded in the game.  Kate Delaney (Fort Collins, Colo.) was hit by a pitch, Jaden Espinoza (Tucson, Ariz.) reached on an error, and Emma Almodoba (Tucson, Ariz.) was walked to load the bases. Tatum Chestnut (Peoria, Ariz.) then hit a single to center field to score both Espinoza and Delaney and after the top of the 1^st, the Eagles led 4-0. 

Embry-Riddle added another run in the top of the 3^rd inning.  Delaney led off the inning with a walk and then Almodoba was hit by a pitch to put runners at first and second.  A double by Autumn Sulusi (Kanehoe, Hawaii) plated Delaney to put ERAU up 5-0.

USK got a run back in the bottom of the third inning and another in the bottom of the 5^th, but the Eagles put the game away with six runs in the top of the 6^th inning.  Meredith Tutrone (Scottsdale, Ariz.) led off with a double to left field and Lily Anderson (Flagstaff, Ariz.) followed with a double.  Salas then also hit a double to make the score 7-2.  A two run homerun by Diana Miranda Montano (Tucson, Ariz.) put Embry-Riddle up 9-2.  Sulusi's second hit of the day brought Delaney home and Chestnut picked up her third RBI of the game on a groundout, but the Eagles led 11-2 after the top of the 6^th.  After a clean bottom of the 6^th inning, Embry-Riddle won by run rule 11-2.

Game 2

ERAU didn't score until the top of the second inning in the second game of the double header.  Sam Holbert (Gilbert, Ariz.) led off with a single and then Sulusi followed with a homerun to put the Eagles up 2-0.  After Alexus Marquez (Las Vegas, Nev.) singled and stole second base, she was able to score on Tutrone's second double of the day. Anderson then hit Embry-Riddle's second homerun of the day to make the score 5-0 and Salas's second homerun of the day made it 6-0 after the top of the second inning. 

Embry-Riddle added three runs on four hits in the top of the 3^rd inning.  Back to back doubles by Anderson and Salas put ERAU up 8-0 and then Delaney doubled in Miranda Montano who had reached with a single to make the score 9-0. 

Saint Katherine's scored a run in the bottom of the 3^rd inning on two hits, but one run in the 4^th by Embry-Riddle and another in the 5^th gave the Eagles the 5 inning run rule win. 

ERAU and USK will play another double header tomorrow with the first game beginning at 1pm at Cardiff Sports Complex.
