Game 2
ERAU jumped on top right away in the second game of the day as the Eagles scored five runs in the top of the 1st inning. Maddie Judge (Oro Valley, Ariz.) began the game with a single. Anise Romo (Waddell, Ariz.) was walked and Anderson loaded the bases as she reached on a fielder's choice. Sulusi picked up another RBI on the day when she was walked to bring home Judge. After a defensive mistake, Salas reached first and both Anderson and Romo were able to score as ERAU quickly led 3-0. A double by Kate Delaney (Fort Collins, Colo.) plated Sulusi and the last Eagle run came across on a passed ball.
Pitcher Claire Streeter (San Marino, Calif.) sat the RedHawks down in order in the bottom half of the inning.
Neither team had anything going in the 2nd, but Embry-Riddle added to their lead in the 3rd inning. Sulusi and Salas both hit singles to begin the inning. Delaney then had her second hit of the game, this time a single that brought home Sulusi. A double by Sam Holbert (Gilbert, Ariz.) made the score 7-0 when Salas was able to score.
In the top of the 4th, Salas hit a two run homerun that but the Eagles up 9-0.
Benedictine Mesa scored four runs in the bottom of the 4th inning to make the score 9-4.
